Spring Leaf’s modern homes are three-bedroom, two and a halfbath
with up to 2,700 square feet of sustainable living. Their state-ofthe-
art technology is simple and low-maintenance. Oriented for maximum passive
solar exposure, they produce electricity using photovoltaic (PV) cells. Homes are
heated and cooled by heat pumps that draw on geothermal energy from the earth.
With highly energy-efficient building systems and materials, the homes are tight,
comfortable, and well-designed.
Spring Leaf creates a small eco community. Six townhouses with front
porches and gardens face Broadway. With ten-foot ceilings and open floor plans,
they offer a relaxed modern living style. Behind them, a driving lane provides
access to six single-family homes. Offering contemporary interpretations of the
Colorado vernacular, these homes feature decks that capture foothill views. All of
the homes wrap around a central pocket park on the 1.5-acre site. A landscape
of open space with mature trees, bioswales, and water-conserving plants absorbs
storm water on site.
